To open an image file, you need an image viewer that supports that image format. To open a video, you need a media player that supports that video format. To open a document, you need an application that supports that document format (Word for DOC, Adobe Reader for PDF documents for example). That’s how things go when you don’t have Free Opener by your side – you need multiple applications to open various types of file formats.

With Free Opener by your side, you don’t need anything else! This awesome application provides support for more than 350 types of formats. You won’t need an image viewer because Free Opener can open images. You won’t need a media player because Free Opener can open video and audio files. You won’t need a document viewer because Free Opener can open all sorts of documents.

To better put things in perspective, here’s a list of supported formats: JAVA, JS, PHP, CSS, HTML, PSD, BMP, JPG, PNG, XML, PPS, AVI, WMV, MP4, MOV, DOCX, SRT, RAW, ICO, TORRENT, SWF, RAR, ZIP, RTF, XLS, MSG, PDF, and many, many more. As mentioned above, more than 350 file formats are supported by Free Opener.

Download an installer and run it; when a setup wizard shows up on the screen, go through the steps it presents. These are the simple steps you must go through to get Free Opener up and running on your Windows PC.

Free Opener has a ribbon interface – buttons for all the feautres and functions it has to offer are presented on a ribbon, at the top of the application’s interface. Open a file and then go through the ribbon to see what you can do. If the ribbon gets in the way, you can minimize it with a simple mouse click or by using the Ctrl + F1 hotkey.

Free Opener, as its name so adequately points out, is free software.

Free Opener is a great choice for someone who wants to be able to open all sorts of file formats but does not want to install multiple applications on his or her PC.

Pros

Complete a simple installation procedure to get Free Opener up and running on a Windows PC. Free Opener has a user friendly ribbon interface. Free Opener provides support for a long, long list of file formats. Open, view, edit, print all sorts of file formats. Free Opener is freeware.

Cons

None that I could think of.
